The course teaches fundamentals of anatomy and physiology of nerves, muscle, heart blood vessels, gastrointestinal system, urinary track, liver and hormones. A broad range of disease states and medical devices are introduced to help students better relate to the anatomic and physiologic lecture information. Class experience also includes guest speakers and/or local hospital/clinic tours. Giving a Final Oral Presentation class helps student appreciate that they can independently research and understand other anatomy and physiology topics and their application to modern medicine.
