Every culture seeks to express a moral way of life. The Incarnation engages all such ideals and standards in its encounter with cultures. How to think about moral ways of life precisely in their encounter with the Incarnation? That is the question of this course. Sources to be studied may include Sacred Scripture (both Old and New Testament), classical pagan authors (philosophical, historical, and literary) and Catholic writers (ancient, medieval, and modern) each with an eye to Catholic engagement of the ideals of a moral way of life.
