Topics covered in this course include digital logic, machine data and instruction representations, computer arithmetic, instruction sets and assembly language, ALU and CPU design, pipelining, cache systems, memory, performance metrics, and parallelism. Prerequisites: a minimum grade of C- in CISC 230
