Lecture
St Paul: O'Shaughnessy Education Center 204
How do people approach making decisions with limited time, incomplete information and imperfect self-control? Behavioral economics addresses situations in which the predictions of neoclassical economics are not consistent with observed human behavior. Through a mixture of lecture and in-class activities, the course will survey findings from this intersection of economics and psychology and relate them to personal choice and public policy. Students will conduct their own research and write a paper reporting the results.
