This course is designed to give students an introduction to the types of accounting analysis experienced in industry as their clients and organizations both set and achieve strategy. The primary focus areas are corporate governance, capital allocation, and the acquisition lifecycle. During the study of these primary focus areas the emphasis is on financial reporting subsequent to the transactions (i.e. the accounting and reporting for the transactions). Secondary focus areas are selected from trending accounting topics (e.g. Non-GAAP measures). Prerequisite: ACCT 705
