This course is structured in 3 parts. First, cover fundamentals of continuous and discrete time signals, time and frequency analysis of signals, filters, short-time spectral analysis. Second, applications to one dimensional signal processing: speech signal processing, speech compression and biomedical signal processing. Third, application to multi-dimensional signal processing: image and video processing, image and video compression, multi-dimensional biomedical signal processing. Prerequisite: A prior course in Signals and Systems and knowledge of MATLAB
