Many natural science and civil engineering graduates have careers related to environmental policy or risk mitigation due to the complex Federal, State and Local rules and regulations that determine how humans interact with the natural world by ensuring short- and long-term protection of human health and the environment. This course will introduce students to the main policy framework(s) by developing a key knowledge base of the rules and regulations that drive environmental compliance.
