This course introduces advanced pianists to the basic elements of Collaborative Piano. Material covered will include weekly sight-reading of basic vocal or instrumental repertoire, learning to work with a musical partner, cueing and communicating during rehearsal and performance, working with orchestral reductions, and an introduction to choral accompanying and musical theater accompanying. Students will be paired with a voice or instrumental student for the second half of the semester. The course will culminate in a recital at the end of the semester.
