Students will study basic and advanced plectrum and fingerstyle techniques for the 4-string and 5-string banjos. Other topics will include stylistic propriety of appropriate genres, improvisation and other issues pertinent to the banjo. Repertoire will include all American popular music styles. Students must complete an online Lesson Registration Form with the music department in addition to registering through Murphy.
